Full Search
Find and filter tickets, companies, people, projects, contracts, assets, and knowledge
Overview
Full Search finds records across tickets, knowledge-base articles, companies, people, contracts, projects, and assets. Use explicit record-type, company, and updated-date filters to narrow a broad query.

Run a search
- Open global search with the search button or its keyboard shortcut.
- Type a name, number, or phrase. Press Enter to open the highlighted record.
- Select Open full search when you want filters or a broader result set.
- On
/search, choose record types, a company, or an updated-date range and select Search.
Company and record-name combinations work together. For example, IHS portal can match a portal project linked to IHS even when the project name does not repeat the full company name.
How results are selected
Global search uses fast lexical and relationship-aware ranking for navigation. Full Search is lexical by default so ordinary searches stay fast. Enable meaning-based matching when you want broader ticket and knowledge matches. Exact names and identifiers, complete token coverage across a company and linked record, and phrase matches rank ahead of semantic similarity.
Core AI remains a separate assistant. Use the Open Core AI card on the search page when you want an agent to investigate relationships, summarize the result set, or help refine the query.
Permissions and limits
Results depend on the user's read permissions for tickets, KB, companies, contacts, contracts, projects, and assets. A user may therefore see fewer resource types or results than a workspace administrator.
Search requests are rate-limited. Broad terms can produce weak matches; add a company, record type, date range, or distinctive phrase and try again. Search does not edit records or search the public web.
