The Project Budgets tab and related management UI have been removed from Core.

• Use the project Forecast tab for payment schedules and contract billing context.
• Existing project_budgets / line data may still exist in the database for historical attribution (optional budget-line links on resourcing assignments and expenses).
• New budget plans should not be created in Core; treat this guide as historical reference only.

What remains

Optional budget-line pickers on resourcing and expenses may still appear when legacy plan lines exist. They are not required. Contract-linked scheduled and billed amounts continue to surface through Forecast and contract billing — not a project budget ledger.

Permissions

projects:budget:manage_any and projects:budget:manage_own remain in the permission matrix while the schema is retained. They no longer gate a primary UI surface.
