Workspace Settings
Configure your Core workspace settings, preferences, and system-wide options
Overview
Workspace settings control the fundamental configuration of your Core instance, including regional settings, default behaviors, and system-wide preferences.
General Settings
Workspace Name
Set your workspace identity:
- Go to Settings > General
- Edit Workspace Name
- This appears in the UI and communications
- Save changes
Workspace URL
Your Core workspace URL:
- Format:
yourcompany.core-app.com - Contact support to change subdomain
Regional Settings
Timezone
Set the default timezone:
- Go to Settings > General > Regional
- Select Timezone
- All dates/times display in this timezone
- SLA calculations use this timezone
- Save
Individual users can set personal timezones in their profile.
Date Format
Choose date display format:

Time Format
Choose 12 or 24 hour time:
- 12-hour: 2:30 PM
- 24-hour: 14:30
Currency
Set default currency:
- Select primary currency
- Used in budgets and financial displays
- Currency symbol appears in reports
Language
Set the workspace language:
- Default language for interface
- Affects system messages
- Users can set personal preferences
Business Hours
Setting Business Hours
Define your operating hours:
- Go to Settings > Business Hours
- For each day, set:
- Start time
- End time
- Or mark as non-working
- Save settings
Time Zones for Business Hours
Business hours are evaluated in:
- Workspace timezone (default)
- Customer timezone (if configured)
- Technician timezone (for assignments)
Holidays
Add non-working days:
- Go to Settings > Business Hours > Holidays
- Click Add Holiday
- Enter date and name
- Optionally set as recurring
- Save
Business hours affect:
- SLA calculations
- Automation scheduling
- Notification timing
Ticket Settings
Default Ticket Values
Set defaults for new tickets:

Ticket Numbering
Configure ticket ID format:
- Go to Settings > Tickets > Numbering
- Options:
- Sequential: 1, 2, 3...
- Prefixed: TKT-0001
- Custom: Define pattern
- Set starting number
- Save
Required Fields
Make fields mandatory:
- Go to Settings > Tickets > Fields
- Toggle required status for fields
- Required fields must be filled to save
- Save configuration
Notification Defaults
System Notifications
Configure default notification settings:
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Set which events trigger notifications
- Choose default channels (email, SMS, in-app)
- Users can customize their preferences
Quiet Hours
Set system-wide quiet hours:
- Enable Global Quiet Hours
- Set times when non-critical notifications are held
- Critical alerts bypass quiet hours
Data Retention
Retention Policies
Configure how long data is kept:
- Go to Settings > Data Retention
- Set retention periods:
- Closed tickets
- Audit logs
- Email logs
- Attachments
- Save settings
Archiving
Automatically archive old records:
- Enable Auto-Archive
- Set archive threshold (e.g., tickets closed >2 years)
- Archived data is accessible but not in main views
Security Settings
Session Management
Configure session security:

Password Policy
Set password requirements:
- Minimum length (recommend 12+)
- Require uppercase/lowercase
- Require numbers
- Require special characters
- Password expiration (optional)
Two-Factor Authentication
Configure 2FA settings:
- Enable 2FA option
- Choose methods (authenticator app, SMS)
- Optionally require for all users
- Set backup codes policy
IP Restrictions
Limit access by IP:
- Go to Settings > Security > IP Allowlist
- Add allowed IP addresses or ranges
- Enable enforcement
- Users outside allowed IPs are blocked
API Settings
API Access
Configure API access:
- Go to Settings > API
- Enable/disable API access
- Set rate limits
- Generate API keys
API Keys
Manage API keys:
- Click Generate New Key
- Name the key (e.g., "Integration - Zapier")
- Set permissions
- Store the key securely (shown once)
Webhook Settings
Configure outbound webhooks:
- Go to Settings > Webhooks
- Set signing secret
- Configure retry behavior
- Set timeout limits
Import/Export
Data Export
Export workspace data:
- Go to Settings > Data > Export
- Select data types to export
- Choose format (CSV, JSON)
- Generate export
- Download when ready
Data Import
Import data into Core:
- Go to Settings > Data > Import
- Select import type
- Upload file
- Map columns
- Preview and confirm
- Execute import
Danger Zone
Workspace Deletion
Delete the workspace (Owner only):
- Go to Settings > Danger Zone
- Click Delete Workspace
- Enter workspace name to confirm
- This action is irreversible
Data Purge
Permanently delete all data:
- Contact support
- Verify ownership
- Schedule purge
- Data is unrecoverable
